We have all heard people saw eat this instead of this or that instead of this and generally these are good choices to make when it comes to your diet. However while these foods have many health benefits they also tend to have a lot of calories that you may want to remember when planning your meals. Now if you are counting calories you probably already know this but if you are just going by

 

Peanut Butter

The claim that you should add peanut butter to your diet because it is a good source of protein and while it does have some protein., it has a lot of fat and while fat is important for your diet it is still high calorie. Which can cause a many people to wreck their diet with too many calories.

Another problem of peanut butter is how much people use, Many people slather on a thick layer of peanut butter.

Dark Chocolate

While dark chocolate is a better option than milk chocolate it is still a higher calorie food while milk chocolate has around 300 calories per 1 ounce vs 136 calories for dark chocolate. You are still consuming more sugar than other foods While it is fine to have a treat you need to limit the amount of dark chocolate just like you would milk chocolate.

 

Juices

Many times people stop drinking pop and substitute it with fruit juices. remember fruit juice is loaded with sugar as well. Often you are substituting one sugary drink with an equal sugary drink. SO in the end it is important to drink more water. if you need more flavor then look at adding an orange or lemon slice to your water.
